PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GO HAND IN HAND

We are experienced executives who join non profit associations as independent volunteer board members.
We believe in the synergy between societal purpose and performance and we want to be change agents towards this objective.

In the board, we will make a mutually agreed contribution on governance or strategy.  We look for cross-fertilization in between the business and non-profit worlds.  We believe in peer-to-peer sharing of experience, learning and growing.

OUR INSPIRATION

Companionship for the Board

In 2019, we created BoardCompanions.org.
Our association attracts experienced executives to join
non-profit associations as independent volunteer board members
and we grow our collective experience through peer-to-peer learning.

We call ourselves "Companions", being inspired by the peer-to-peer learning networks of craftsmen such as the "Compagnons du Tour de France".
This model of learning has survived over centuries and we've decided
to apply it today to boards.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Speed dating, governance improvement
& peer-to-peer learning

IMG-20200125-WA0002.jpg

In partnership with the King Baudouin Foundation, we organize speed dating evenings, where candidate-companions and candidate-boards can meet each other informally and seek cooperation.

Companions are joining the boards of associations in very broad sectors: cultural, sports, social, education, health..

In the board, we will focus on supporting the association with

a mutually agreed topic of governance or strategy.

We are passionate about further developing our personal impact
and want to learn continuously.  Within BoardCompanions.org,
we organise peer-to-peer networking and learning and we can provide
coaching programs for interested companions.
